Hello everyone!
Today, I just want to share what has been going on in my mind lately. With everything happening on the news and in society as a whole, it can get to you. you start to ask questions, and if you are a parent you start worrying about your children’s future and so on.
While it seems like all we are hearing is gloom and doom, my dear readers there is hope! And what is this hope you say? See, while all this was going on in my mind, the Holy Spirit reminded me who I was and to whom I belong to.
And that brought peace to my heart because I know who I belong to and I know who I am in Christ. Therefore, I refuse to fear or entertain fearful thoughts. The word of God tells me to renew my mind (Romans 12:2) with his word!
So, instead of feeding myself with the negativity and fear that the media is pouring out, I choose to feed myself with the TRUTH! Which is the word of God. And I just want to encourage you today. There is hope!
Isaiah 40:31 tells me, those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint! Wow! what assurance.
And hear what the Lord says in Isaiah 43:1-2, “…he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. (oh my!)
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”
Now, let’s just chill here for a moment and soak this all in. Do you hear what you father is saying to you? Can you for a moment just read that scripture again but this time put your name there!
Oh! How powerful! No wonder Paul said in Romans 15:13, that may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Amazing!
Now the world as we know it, isn’t going to be better. But fear not! There is hope in Jesus! “To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory”
Colossians 1:27.
So if you have received Christ as your Lord and Saviour, Christ in you is your hope of glory. Praise God! If you are reading this and you are like,” Lisa what do you mean? What if I haven’t received Christ as my Lord and saviour? I want you to know that there is hope for you too! Christ died for you, and you too can receive him.
At the end of this post, I will give you an opportunity to give your lives to Jesus and become born again. How do you do this? Simple, “ If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9).
Anyone can give their life to Christ because He died for everyone! He came for you and me and here is the fun fact: even if you were the only person on the earth, God would have still sent Jesus to die for your sins that you may have eternal life!
Oh! how great is our God. God loves you and He wants to have a relationship with you as his child. Don’t miss out on this love opportunity. God can be trusted! He has a better life planned for you!
Jeremiah 29:11 says, “ For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
All you need to do is say YES!
Here is a short prayer of salvation just for you, just say it out loud, and believe in your heart and that’s all it takes.
O Lord God, I believe with all my heart in Jesus Christ, Son of the living God. I believe He died for me and God raised him from the dead. I believe he is alive today. I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life from this day. Through him and in his name, I have eternal life; I am born again. I ask you God to fill me with your Holy Spirit. Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul! I am now a child of God.
Wow congratulations! Welcome to the family. You are now a child of God. Your journey has just begun. Now, it’s time to join a bible teaching church so that you can grow in your walk with God. Do not worry, he will lead you to the right place. Just trust in Him.
